Description

Psyllium Husk Pineapple Orange Flavor is a plant-based fiber made from the outer husks of Plantago ovata seeds, enhanced with a bright tropical twist. Its mild taste is complemented by the refreshing combination of pineapple and orange, making it easy to mix into water, smoothies, or juices for a flavorful way to enjoy fiber.

Shelf-stable and versatile, this flavored psyllium husk can also be added to cereals, yogurt, or baked goods to boost texture and fiber content. With its light, fruity profile and simple preparation, it’s a convenient option for adding plant-based fiber to your daily routine.

A DELICIOUS SOURCE OF NATUARAL DEITARY FIBER AT ITS BEST

Our Psyllium husk is a natural, organic, concentrated dietary fiber.

Psyllium is commonly used for its plant-based fiber properties to relieve constipation and mild diarrhea.

But it’s not just a superstar for supporting healthy digestion.

Psyllium is an excellent addition to low carbohydrate recipes to improve thickness and texture, making for a denser bread or cake consistency. Also commonly used in baking and cooking to improve the fiber ratio, psyllium is generally considered a food thickener used in cereals, cakes, ice cream, and frozen desserts.

A vegan and vegetarian food, grain-free and gluten-free, our psyllium husk is easy to use, has many excellent health benefits, and is a natural source of soluble and insoluble fiber.

Psyllium husk comes from the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant. The fiber is collected from the seeds’ outer layers (i.e., “husks”).

Psyllium contains water-soluble fiber that absorbs water and then forms a gel-like substance that expands by up to 10x. This is why it is essential to drink plenty of water and fluids when supplementing with psyllium.

Psyllium is bulk-forming, and the small intestine does not digest it. It simply absorbs water as it passes through the digestive system.

Many customers use our psyllium husk to relieve constipation, diarrhea, and other digestion issues. Some choose psyllium because the fiber helps slow food absorption, possibly improving the glycemic response.

Additionally, some customers choose psyllium because it may aid weight loss, as the fiber can help you to feel full and longer.

This new Pineapple Orange flavor is a delicious way to consume this important source of fiber.

Below are some of the reasons we chose to add pineapple to this quality product.

Organic Pineapple Juice Powder

Pineapples are famous for being a rich source of bromelain.

Bromelain is a complex mixture of substances that can be extracted from the pineapple’s stem and fibrous fruit core. Among the dozens of components in this crude extract, the best studied are a group of protein-digesting enzymes.

Bromelain is a type of enzyme known as protease. It breaks other proteins apart by cutting the chains of amino acids. Proteins consist of one or more chains of amino acids called polypeptides. To be more specific, bromelain is a cysteine protease that specifically breaks apart proteins wherever they have a cysteine amino acid.

Pineapples are high in nutrition and loaded with nourishing vitamins and minerals.

Pineapple is an excellent source of the trace mineral manganese, an essential cofactor in many enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defenses. For example, the key oxidative enzyme, superoxide dismutase (SOD), which may support the disarming of potential free radicals produced within the mitochondria, requires manganese.

In addition to manganese, pineapple is a nourishing source of thiamin, a B vitamin that acts as a cofactor in enzymatic reactions central to energy production.

Bromelain may support a healthy inflammation response.

NF Kappa Beta is a protein signaling molecule that triggers the inflammation process and is at the top of the inflammation cascade. There are many aspects to how this signaling molecule becomes triggered. Once activated, it has a trickle-down effect on all other parts of the cascade, like Cox-1, Cox-2, IL-6, etc.

While we know through animal and tissue culture studies that bromelain does have a direct effect on modulating NK Kappa Beta, we don’t understand precisely how. Most studies done on humans showing the potential impacts of Bromelain (as an individual compound) are based on symptom relief and a scoring scale. Therefore, they are subjective based on how the individual is feeling and not showing effects on specific markers.
